Organized in August 2001, the Marikina Shoe Caravan consists of small and medium-size shoe manufacturers and marketers from Marikina City. Since their inception, it has rounded up key cities and towns of Luzon and Metro Manila to promote and sell Marikina-made shoes and accessories at factory prices to the residents during special events. The shoe caravan is also instrumental in establishing sisterhood and ties for economic exchange among the cities visited.
